Bringing Timeless Style to New-Build Homes in Austrey
Sep 18 2025
We’re incredibly proud to share one of our latest projects. A stunning collection of new-build homes in the quaint village of Austrey in Warwickshire.
Working closely with Lychgate Homes and David Granger Architectural Design Ltd, we manufactured, supplied and installed a total of 78 Residence 7 flush casement windows. These windows are finished in elegant Painswick and Corse Lawn colours, helping to bring classic charm to this thoughtfully designed, farmhouse-styled development.
Thoughtfully Designed for the Setting
Austrey Fields has been carefully planned to fit seamlessly into its surroundings and the local community. Above all, the windows needed to complement the traditional village setting while meeting modern performance standards and new-build regulations.
After careful deliberation, we determined with the builder that the Residence 7 (R7) flush casement system was the perfect fit. Specifically, Its clean lines, flush design inside and out, and replica of traditional timber proportions made it the ideal choice.
Built for Beauty, Performance and Security
Each window we manufactured features welded joints and 6.4mm laminated Planitherm glazing. Additionally, the glass was filled with argon gas to achieve excellent energy efficiency, acoustic control, and enhanced security. To complete the look, we selected chrome inline handles to add a modern, sophisticated touch.
Inside, every window features a Chalk White (smooth white) finish, creating a clean, bright look that works effortlessly with any choice interior décor.
A Compatible Colour Palette
Firstly, Corse Lawn taken from the name of a pretty village in Gloucestershire, the richness of Corse Lawn is instantly appealing. With undertones of green, brown and grey it effortlessly creates a heritage modern look or classic 19th Century feel. This colour was used on four of the homes.
Meanwhile Painswick named in honour of the historic wool town set in the Cotswold Hills, with a nod to the traditional era of Downton Abbey. The modest grey green of Painswick has become one of our most popular finishes in recent years. This rather indeterminate colour brings a softness to homes. This was used on three of the homes.
Together, these two colours create a striking contrast and add visual interest across the development. All while maintaining a cohesive, characterful look.
A Project We’re Proud Of
All of the team here at Swadlincote Windows is incredibly proud to have been a part of this development. Designers carefully crafted Austrey Fields to blend seamlessly into its charming village setting. As a result, we created windows that complemented both the traditional architecture and the surrounding landscape.
