Cover fascia literally covers your existing fascia removing the need for maintenance (painting etc) and is designed to improve the appearance of your property. Cover fascia can only be used where there are sufficient timbers in good order to fasten to. If this is not the case then Replacement fascia must be used. Some companies will apply cover fascia regardless of any underlying problems.
Adequate ventilation is required by building regulations and must be at least equal to the original provision. Badly fitted fascias can reduce ventilation and lead to damp and rot.
